HURRICANE IDALIA
UPDATE #2

Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) continues to monitor Hurricane Idalia as it continues on its projected path toward northern Florida. Based on information received from the National Weather Service in Miami, we do NOT expect flooding rain, storm surge, or sustained winds above 35mph during the school day on Wednesday (8/30) that would impede normal operations, including school buses.

As a reminder, due to possible inclement weather tonight (Tuesday, August 29), all school and district sites will close at 4:00pm.

Collier County Public Schools will be OPEN on Wednesday (August 30).

• All CCPS sites will be open.
• All after-school programs held at CCPS will be open.
• All extracurricular activities, including athletic practices and competitions, will resume as scheduled.
• All Adult and Community Education classes will resume as scheduled.
• All District leases will resume.
