Immokalee High School's Beta Club recently competed at the 44th National Senior Beta Convention in Savannah, Georgia, bringing home two national championships and multiple individual awards as follows:

Group Awards

• 1st Place: Secretarial Campaign
• 1st Place: Service Learning
• 8th Place: Living Literature
• 8th Place: Portfolio

Individual Awards

• 3rd Place: Biomedical 10th Grade - Kayla Reyes
• 7th Place: Biomedical 9th Grade - Ivan Cruz Soriano
• 8th Place: Spanish 12th Grade - Cristal Gonzalez 
• 9th Place: Social Studies 9th Grade - Cynthia De Santiago
• 10th Place: Science 10th Grade - Jasmine Avalos

This is the third straight year the team has brought home the national championship in Service Learning. The group also received a Grand Slam service award for volunteering 8,426 hours and were one of five high school clubs named a Harris Leadership Club.

We are extremely proud of the group's achievements and look forward to recognizing them at a future School Board meeting.
