Dear CCPS Family,

The purpose of this communication is to share important information about upcoming local elections.   
      

This election year, three School Board seats are on the ballot along with Municipal, County, Legislative, State, Federal, and Judicial Offices. There will also be proposed amendments to the Florida Constitution to be reviewed and voted on. School Board races are non-partisan and voted on at-large. This means all Collier County registered voters, regardless of party affiliation or district of residence, are eligible to vote for candidates district wide. There are three ways to vote: by mail, by voting early, or by voting on election day.

• The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot is October 29 at 5 p.m.
  
  
• Early voting will take place October 27 through November 5 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  
  
• Election Day is November 8 and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Election Day is the last opportunity to cast a ballot and voters must vote in their assigned precinct on Election Day.
  
  

This communication continues a tradition of Collier County Public Schools partnering with the Collier County Supervisor of Elections to engage and provide information to the community. For example, elections office staff hold voter registration events at our high schools and pre-register students 16 and older so they are ready for future elections. Additionally, through the “Art for Democracy” competition, students create art for the “I Voted” sticker.
