We are #CCPSProud of our high school bands and orchestras who performed recently at the Florida Orchestra Association and Florida Bandmasters Association State Music Performance Assessments (MPAs). The State MPA is the highest level of music ensemble performance, and our bands and orchestras represented CCPS with stellar performances. Congratulations to these outstanding student musicians and the talented music educators directing them!

The Palmetto Ridge Wind Ensemble (pictured above) traveled to Broward College for State Concert Band Music Performance Assessment (MPA). They had an amazing performance, earning Straight Superior ratings with all A’s, a perfect score. This incredible achievement also earned the PRHS Bands the prestigious Florida Bandmasters Association Otto Kraushaar Award. The "Otto" is awarded to bands that receive Straight Superior ratings at District Marching MPA, District Concert Band MPA, and State Concert Band MPA. PRHS is the only school in Collier County and Lee County to receive this distinguished honor this year! Also, for the first time in PRHS history, EVERY SINGLE performing ensemble earned a Superior at a music performance assessment!
