Florida Academic Scholar and Florida Medallion Scholar
Requirements include:
- 16 credits of college preparatory academic courses
- 4 English
- 4 Math at or above Algebra 1
- 3 Natural Science
- 3 Social Science
- 2 World Language (sequential, in the same language)
Florida Academic Scholar:
- Class of 2025: Earn a minimum 3.5 recalculated* weighted GPA in the above courses, 100 community service hours and a composite score of 1340 on the SAT or 29 on the ACT. 100% of tuition paid.
- Class of 2026: Earn a minimum 3.5 recalculated* weighted GPA in the above courses, 100 community service hours and a composite score of 1330 on the SAT or 29 on the ACT. 100% of tuition paid.
Florida Medallion Scholar:
- Class of 2025: Earn a minimum 3.0 recalculated* weighted GPA in the above courses, 75 community service hours and a minimum score of 1210 on the SAT or 25 on the ACT. 75% of tuition paid.
- Class of 2026: Earn a minimum 3.0 recalculated* weighted GPA in the above courses, 75 community service hours and a minimum score of 1190 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT. 75% of tuition paid.
*Recalculated GPA Is based on the above 16 credits only.
**Other ways to qualify: AICE diploma and required community service hours.
Florida Gold Seal Vocational and Gold Seal CAPE
Gold Seal awards (GSC/GSV) may only be used at postsecondary institutions that offer an applied technology diploma, technical degree education program (associate in science-A.S. or associate in applied science-A.A.S.), or a career certificate program. GSC recipients who earn a qualifying A.S. or A.A.S degree may be funded for a qualifying B.S. or B.A.S. bachelor’s degree.
Gold Seal Vocational Scholars: Earn the required weighted 3.0 GPA in the stated 16 core credit courses, Take at least three (3) full credits in a single Career Technical Education (CTE) program, Achieve the required minimum 3.5 unweighted GPA in career education course and Complete 30 community service hours and achieve required minimum scores on one
of the college entrance exams.
Gold Seal CAPE Scholars: Meet the General Requirements for Bright Future, earn a minimum of 5 postsecondary credit hours through CAPE industry certifications which articulate for college credit and Complete 30 service hours
