FAFSA

IMPORTANT - Both student AND parent need an account. Each account must use a different e-mail address.

The usernames and passwords you use will be your FSA IDs. Make sure to write them down and keep them in a safe place. You will need it each time you log in and will need it to sign and submit a finalized FAFSA.

Create an FSA ID at studentaid.gov

Gather the documents you'll need to complete the FAFSA, including:

• Tax statements from two years prior to the application year. (example: if applying in 2025, you will need tax statements from 2023)
   
• Bank statements and financial information
   
• Social security number

Your child will need to log in with their individual FSA ID to complete the student section.

After answering the questions, students can add up to twenty (20) post-secondary institutions to the form. It's okay to still be undecided when filling out the form. Add the school's you are considering!

Access FAFSA Application

After the student section is complete, the parent will receive a link via e-mail to log in using their individual FSA ID.

The email address the student enters to send this parent link MUST be the same as the email address the parent used to create their FSA ID.Once logged in, complete the parent section of the FAFSA.

Once the parent section is complete, submit the form and you will receive a submission summary.

Make sure to review the submission summary and if you find an error, log in to your FAFSA to correct it as soon as possible.
