YEAR 1

Crime Scene Technology 1 (8200301)
This course is to prepare students for careers as crime scene technicians.  Students will also be instructed on personal, interpersonal, and communication skills as well as demonstrate employability skills.

YEAR 2

Crime Scene Technology 2 (8200302)
This course is part two of a progression to prepare students for careers as crime scene technicians.

YEAR 3

Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (8200303)
Students will learn basic principles of bloodstain pattern analysis and techniques to collect blood evidence.

YEAR 4

Courtroom Presentation of Scientific Evidence and Report Writing (8200304)
Students will learn the basics of testifying in court in-regards to forensic evidence. Students will also interact with reports and focus on writing skills.

Introduction to Criminal Justice (CCJ1020) - FSW Dual Enrollment*
In this course, the components and processes of the criminal justice system will be presented. Topics include history, structure, functions, and philosophy of the criminal justice system. (*only offered at Aubrey Rogers High School)

AND

Introduction to Crime Scene Technology (CJE1640) - FSW Dual Enrollment*
This course is a study of the basic scientific techniques used in criminal investigation with special emphasis on the role of the evidence technician in solving crimes. While the more comprehensive facilities of a criminal laboratory are explored, major attention will be focused on the more limited portable devices available to a small enforcement unit. (*only offered at Aubrey Rogers High School)

YEAR 1

Criminal Justice Operations 1 (8918010)
This course is to introduce the student to the history, goals, and career opportunities in the criminal justice profession. It also covers ethics and professionalism, constitutional and criminal laws, court and trial process, juvenile justice system, and the correctional system.

YEAR 2

Criminal Justice Operations 2 (8918020)
This course is to introduce the student to the characteristics and procedures of patrol, complete written reports, and crime prevention programs. Students will also describe guidelines for Use-of-Force, perform CPR/ first aid techniques, and procedures to protect from bloodborne pathogens.

YEAR 3 & YEAR 4

Criminal Justice Operations 3 (8918030)
This course is to introduce the student to crime scene safety, conducting criminal investigations and forensic  processing, and completing property control procedures. Students will conduct a traffic crash investigation.

Certified Legal Assistant (8918060)
This course prepares students for a career as an Accredited Legal Professional (ALP).  The curriculum covers comprehension and communication of legal knowledge skills, rules and guidelines and how to develop communication skills in technical reading and writing of legal documents.
