The social media sites maintained by Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) are limited public forums whose purpose is to provide information on specific CCPS topics. It is also to allow for the discussion of those certain subjects within certain limits appropriate to the particular subject. Accordingly, the District reserves the right to block users who post content that contains content that is vulgar, obscene, threatening, or factually inaccurate personal attacks of any kind, or offensive comments that seek to target, harass, disparage, or undermine any group based on race, religion, national origin, gender, and so on. 

Further, the District reserves the right to block users and/or remove comments who/which: 

1. include spam or links to other sites;
2. advocate illegal activity, whether expressly or impliedly; 
3. promote particular services, products or political organizations;
4. infringe on copyrights or trademarks or other legal protectable information;
5. use personally identifiable medical information or protectable student academic information; 
6. are clearly off the intended topic of discussion 

Commercial advertising content on these social media sites is not controlled or endorsed by Collier County Public Schools but may be removed if it contains content the District determines to be inappropriate. Florida has a very broad public records law. As a result, any written communication created or received by Collier County Public Schools officials and employees will be made available to the public and media, upon request, unless otherwise exempt. If you do not want your comment and subsequent identifying information released in response to a public-records request, do not comment. Under Florida law, email addresses are public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to a work location or employee.
