From Father to Daughter, the Championship Legacy Continues at Barron Collier High School
Senior wrestler Kiera Partello made school history by capturing the Florida High School Athletic Association Girls Wrestling State Championship in the 105-pound weight class.
It was the same achievement earned years earlier by her father and coach, Tony Partello.
What started with Kiera as the only girl on the mat her freshman year has grown into an eight-member girls wrestling program, led by the support of her family, including mom Kim, who stepped in as a coach alongside Tony.
This story is about more than wrestling. It’s about family, tradition, perseverance, and building opportunities for future student-athletes.
