Message from Principal Michelle Auger

  • School PrincipalWelcome to I am so excited for the opportunity to be the Principal of Palmetto Elementary School! I hear such wonderful things about the staff, students, and families and I know we will be a “gator-ific” fit. I believe that family should always come first. I lived most of my life in the town I grew up in, living within 2 miles of my four brothers and parents. In 2019, I moved to Naples, FL to be closer to my son, daughter-in-law and new grandson. I love it down here. I can golf, walk my puppy, and never have to worry about the snow! I am a mission-oriented and collaborative leader with 35-years across PreK-12 and higher education as a Principal, Assistant Principal, Adjunct Professor, STEAM teacher, and Elementary School Teacher. For the last 21 years, I have held leadership positions in the state of New Hampshire and for the past two years at CCPS as the Principal of Naples Park Elementary School. I also served on the faculty of Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) as an adjunct professor teaching graduate level courses in the School of Education for over 9 years. I am an educator that is motivated to make a difference in the lives of my students and try to be an example for every life I touch. I truly believe that “What you do today will make a difference tomorrow.”

Throughout my career, I have built strong working relationships with district staff, school boards, school staff, community members, and parents to develop strong school missions and effectively run school operations. As an administrator in New Hampshire, I trained with the NHDOE to be a Principal Mentor so I could mentor novice administrators and was a member of the Governor’s “Principal’s Evaluation Task Force.”

I invite members of the community, families and staff to come visit our little school in the big woods, and look forward to meeting you all. I would love to hear your ideas on how to continue to make PLE a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Click here to see our amazing Palmetto Partners!

    Dear Prospective Palmetto Partner,

Palmetto Elementary School (PLE) is excited to continue with our Palmetto Partner Program. We know that good schools build strong communities, and strong communities are vital for businesses to thrive. For those of you who are not aware of PLE, here are some amazing facts about our little school in the big woods. We are one of the smallest elementary schools in Collier County, and a Title 1 school and face challenges due to our location in the Estates. Our closest business is 7 miles away, as we are tucked away off of Everglades Blvd.

At PLE, we work hard every day to ensure student success. We have a dedicated staff of outstanding teachers and employees who ensure students love learning, love coming to school, and are successful every day. We would like to ensure our students have the experiences and materials they need to enrich their education. With business partners like you, we can help fund field trips, classroom materials, technology needs, reading resources and other needs. Everything that is raised through our Palmetto Partner Program will go back to the classrooms to benefit our student’s educational experience.

We ask that you please join us in supporting our school! After reviewing the Palmetto Partner Program, and the benefits to your business, we hope you will consider contributing to our school and students. At PLE, we believe that together we are the creators of our future.
