Class of 2019
Cap and Gown:
Seniors if you have not ordered your cap and gown yet you can go to the Herff Jones web site at highschool.herffjones.com to place your order. Don't wait, soon it will be too late to get your cap and gown here in time for Graduation.
The commencement ceremony will be held May, 24th 2019, beginning promptly at 7:00 P.M. at Alico Arena on the campus of FGCU.
Senior Dues are $40.00
Students who do not pay their dues may participate in the graduation ceremony however they will not receive any tickets for guests.
Any outstanding book fines, fees, uniforms fees, etc. must be paid before Graduation. Students who owe money will not be allowed to rehearse for or participate in graduation.
Each graduating senior participating in the Commencement Ceremony will receive 5 (five) tickets. Additional tickets are on sale now for the purchase price of $10.00 per ticket. There is a limit of 10 additional tickets per senior at this time. Every person attending the ceremony, including infants, needs a ticket.
If a graduate owes for any text books, library books, fines, uniforms, senior dues, etc., tickets will be withheld until obligations are satisfied.
Important Graduation Dates and Times:
Tuesday May 21st - Senior Parade (meet in the park by 6:30)
Tuesday May 21st - Following the parade there will be a mandatory meeting in the cafeteria for ALL seniors who are planning to participate in graduation.
Tuesday May 21st - Cap and Gowns will be distributed after the senior meeting
Tuesday May 21st - Busses will leave IHS around 9:15 for our annual Elementary School Grad Walk.
Wednesday May 22nd - Graduation Practice in the Auditorium for anyone with a speaking part in the Graduation Ceremony (Time TBA)
Thursday May 23rd - Graduation Practice in the Gym (8:00 - 12:00)
Thursday May 23rd - Tickets will be distributed after graduation practice.
Thursday May 21st - Graduation Practice at Alico Arena (7:00 - 12:00) Meet in the high school gym by 7:00
Friday May 24th - Graduation at Alico Arena - Students must be at Immokalee High School by 3:45 to leave for graduation. Students must ride the bus to graduation; however, students can leave with family members after the ceremony.
You are required to attend all meetings and practices in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. Any questions see Mr. Rayburn or Mr. Rimmler.
Dress Code for Graduates:
Students may not wear sunglasses. Only official school graduation regalia may be attached to or be worn over graduation caps and gowns. The graduation cap is worn parallel to the ground. NO DECORATING OF CAPS WILL BE PERMITTED. The tassel hangs on the right side until the very end of the ceremony.
Young ladies should wear a dress or dress pants that are not longer than the graduation gown. They should wear nice dress shoes or very dressy sandals. No tennis shoes or flip-flops permitted. They should not wear heels that would prevent them from safely and easily using stairs.
Young men should wear collared shirts. Ties are strongly encouraged. Wear dress slacks that are dark in color (black). Absolutely no blue jeans (denim) are allowed. Wear nice, dark dress shoes. No tennis shoes or sandals permitted.
Project Graduation will be held at the Naples YMCA on Friday, May 24th from 11:00pm to 4:00am. The cost is $25.00 per person. This is a great way to spend the night eating, dancing, winning prizes and seeing friends.
The bus for Project Graduation will leave Immokalee High School at 10:30
Senior Final Exams:
Senior exams will be from May 14th - May 17th
