Overview

The purpose of Title II, Part A is to increase the academic achievement of all students by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality and ensure that all teachers are highly qualified.

Information/ Announcements

Teachers may be reimbursed for certification exams provided they meet the following requirements:

- Have taken or are required to take the certification test in a core area as identified by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in order to become certified to teach in an subject area for which you have been assigned 

- Have taken or have registered to take the exam during the school year in which you are requesting reimbursement

- Provide report showing you have passed the required certification exam.

- Provide receipt of payment 

Teachers may request reimbursement by completing the form below and submitting to Junice Adame at, box 134, Office of Federal, State and Competitive Grants.

This only applies to exams taken between July 1, 2019 and June 2020. Requests for reimbursement of certification exams taken during the 2019-20 school year must be received by June 30, 2020.
