Charter School Level II Volunteers, Employees and Board Members

  • Florida Statute 1012.32(2)(b) requires background screening of Employees (including Substitutes and Paid Coaches) and Board Members of Charter Schools. 

    All New Employees (including Substitutes and Paid Coaches) and Board Members are required to complete fingerprint screening and be cleared based on the guidelines of the District prior to their first day.  New Employees and Board Members should allow a minimum of 72 hours following fingerprinting for clearances to be returned.

    Please follow the steps below for fingerprint screening:

    • Receive fingerprinting authorization form from Charter School.
    • Bring fingerprinting authorization form and a valid government issued identification at the time of fingerprint screening.
    • Provide a check or money order (payable to CCPS) in the amount of $70.00 at the time of fingerprint screening. 
    • Complete fingerprint screening at the MLK Administrative Center, Office of Human Resources, 5775 Osceola Trail, Naples, FL 34109.

    Level II Volunteers at Charter Schools

    Prospective Level II Volunteers at Charter Schools should follow the steps below for fingerprint screening.  Prospective Level II Volunteers are not permitted to be unsupervised with students until final background clearance is confirmed.

    • Receive Level II Volunteer Fingerprinting Authorization Form from Charter School.
    • Bring Level II Volunteer Fingerprinting Authorization Form and a valid government issued identification at the time of fingerprint screening. 
    • Fingerprinting fees may apply and can only be paid by check or money order.  Please confirm fee information with your Charter School prior to fingerprint screening. 
    • Complete fingerprint screening at the MLK Administrative Center, Office of Human Resources, 5775 Osceola Trail, Naples, FL 34109.
