Overview of the School Principal Program

Current research consistently indicates that the principal plays a vital role in determining the quality of his/her school. To quote Roland Barth, “leadership—making happen that in which you believe”, mirrors the philosophy of our district. This statement of belief along with the dynamic, changing needs of our district, demand that we create and nurture a successful School Principal Leadership Development Program.

The School Principal Program in the Collier County Public Schools has various levels. Each of these levels is aligned to the Florida Principal Leadership Standards and Key Indicators, found here.
