What is Open Enrollment?Open Enrollment is your once-a-year opportunity to make benefit changes for you and/or your eligible family members. This is your chance to enroll in your 2020 benefits whether you are adding, deleting, or changing plans.The benefits you elect during Open Enrollment will be effective January 1, 2020, and will remain in effect through December 31, 2020, unless you experience a qualifying life event that would allow you to make a mid-year change.
How do I enroll?There are three enrollment options to choose from, as outlined below. To access these enrollment options, click the CCPS Portal icon on your desktop or go to https://portal.collierschools.com using Google Chrome, Firefox or Microsoft Edge web browser. Log in using your network user ID and password. Click on the Benefits icon. If you do not know your network user ID or passwork, contact the Help Desk at 239-377-0445 or firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
- Roll Benefits (available October 7 - November 1)
- Self-Enrollment (available October 7 - November 1)
- Enroller Assisted Enrollment - APPOINTMENT REQUIRED*
- Face-to-Face (available October 14 - 25)
- Telephonic (available October 14 - November 1)
Enrollers will also be available at the Benefits & Wellness Fairs (no appointment needed - first come first served).
- Friday, October 11, 3-6PM at Immokalee Technical College
- Saturday, October 12, 9AM-12PM at Lorenzo Walker Technical College

*To make an appointment with an enroller, refer to the 2020 Scheduler Instructions and Enrollment Schedule handout. There is a limited number of appointments and enrollment locations, which will be available of a first to schedule basis. Employees may schedule an appointment at any available location.
To view current benefits, click on the CCPS Portal icon or go to https://portal.collierschools.com. Log in using your network user ID and password, then click the Benefits icon.
What happens if I don't participate in Open Enrollment?
If you do not enroll during the 2020 Open Enrollment period (October 7 - November 1 at midnight), your 2020 benefits will default to your 2019 benefits, except your Flexible Spending Account (FSA). You must re-elect your FSA for 2020. If you currently refuse/decline the medical coverage and do not enroll, your election to refuse/decline will remain for 2020.
Please note there are changes to the medical and dental rates effective January 1, 2020. It is important to participate in Open Enrollment each year to review your benefit elections and any changes that may impact you, even if you don't want to make any changes to your benefit elections.

Where can I find more information on the benefits available to me?
The 2020 Employee Benefits Guide is a helpful resource, which includes some information on the benefits available to you and your eligible dependents. Additional information can be found by accessing the menu of links on the left-hand side of this webpage. These links provide more detailed information on each benefit such as brochures, rates, and so much more.
Employees are encouraged to review iBriefings that are published every Thursday. This is the main source of communicaiton used to share Benefits and Wellness information regarding Open Enrollment, and throughout the year when there are changes or additions to the benefits available to you.

Evidence of Insurability (EOI) is an application process in which you provide information on the condition of your health or your dependent’s health to get insurance coverage.
EOI may be required if:
- you are applying for insurance coverage for the first time;
- you are currently enrolled and want to increase coverage; or
- you were declined coverage during your initial eligibility period and then want coverage at a later date.
Completion of the EOI form does not guarantee approval of coverage, and coverage will not become effective until the EOI form has been reviewed and approved by The Standard.
Please submit this form directly to The Standard no later than Friday, November 8, 2019.
